Executive Chef
As an Executive Chef for our renowned restaurant in Washington, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations. This includes menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision. We are seeking a talented and experienced individual with a passion for creating exceptional dishes and providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that showcase our commitment to high-quality ingredients and culinary excellence
- Oversee all food preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards
- Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and maintain cost-effectiveness
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to maintain a cohesive team dynamic
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
- Continuously strive for improvement by staying up-to-date on industry trends and incorporating new techniques into menu items
- Monitor customer feedback and make adjustments as needed to ensure high levels of satisfaction
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments and provide clear direction to staff
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Creativity in developing unique menu items that appeal to customers' tastes
Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
