Indian Executive Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indian Executive Chef to join our team in Nakuru. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations, creating menus, and maintaining high-quality standards of food preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Create unique and innovative menus that reflect Indian cuisine and cater to different dietary requirements
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, hygiene practices, and portion control
- Order and maintain inventory levels of food supplies
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to company standards and recipes
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events or themed nights
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high volume restaurant or hotel setting
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create unique menus that reflect traditional Indian flavors while also being creative with fusion dishes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
Salary: 1000$ per month
Location: Nakuru (Preference for Indian nationality)
