Reference Librarian

A reputable library in Aarhus is seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Reference Librarian to join our team. As a Reference Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting library patrons with information inquiries, providing reference services, and maintaining the library's collection of reference materials. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Library Science or a related field, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:
- Assist library patrons with information inquiries and research needs
- Provide reference services in person, over the phone, and via email
- Maintain the library's collection of reference materials through cataloging, weeding, and ordering new materials
- Develop and conduct instructional programs on how to use reference resources effectively
- Collaborate with other librarians to create research guides and other helpful resources for library users
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in reference services and implement new strategies as needed
- Train and supervise student assistants who work in the reference department

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of reference resources and search techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Customer service oriented with a strong focus on meeting the needs of library patrons
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other librarians and staff members

Salary: $1000 per month without accommodation.
