Head Pastry Chef


We are in search of a skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a prestigious restaurant in Lisbon. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts, as well as strong leadership skills to manage the pastry team.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and update dessert menus, keeping up with current food trends and customer preferences
- Create new and innovative pastry recipes while maintaining the quality and consistency of existing ones
- Oversee the production of all pastries, including overseeing ingredients, preparation, plating and presentation
- Train and mentor pastry team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about techniques, ingredients, and safety procedures
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry supplies to maintain stock levels
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of different dessert techniques, including baking, chocolate work, sugar art, etc.
- Ability to create aesthetically pleasing desserts while maintaining taste and quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
- Leadership skills to manage a team of pastry cooks with varying levels of experience
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills to maintain inventory levels and ensure food safety regulations are followed

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month for this position. The exact amount will be based on the candidate's experience level.

Location:
This position is located in the beautiful city of Lisbon. We welcome candidates from any nationality who have legal permission to work in Portugal.
