Livestock Specialist



The Livestock Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the health and well-being of livestock on a farm or ranch. This role requires a strong understanding of animal husbandry, nutrition, and disease prevention. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various types of livestock, such as cattle, sheep, and poultry. They must also have knowledge of breeding techniques and be able to identify and treat common health issues in livestock.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health and well-being of livestock on the farm or ranch
- Provide proper nutrition and care for different types of livestock
- Implement breeding programs to improve herd quality
- Identify and treat common health issues in livestock
- Maintain accurate records of animal health, births, deaths, and production levels
- Manage pasture rotation to ensure optimal grazing conditions for the animals
- Train and supervise farm workers in proper animal handling techniques
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments in animal husbandry and implement best practices on the farm or ranch

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with various types of livestock
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Familiarity with breeding techniques
- Ability to identify and treat common health issues in livestock
- Excellent record keeping skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor when necessary

Preferred:
-Prior experience working on a farm or ranch in a similar role
-Knowledge of Arabic
-Certification in Animal Husbandry or similar field

Location: Riyadh

Salary: $1800/month
