Sous Chef
We are searching for a skilled Sous Chef to join our team in Eldoret. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the head chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the quality and timeliness of food preparation. You will also be responsible for training and supervising kitchen staff, creating and updating menus, and maintaining inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a line cook or sous chef, strong leadership skills, and knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. They must also have a passion for cooking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the head chef with menu planning and creation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on food preparation techniques
- Ensure timely and high-quality food preparation
- Maintain inventory levels and place orders when necessary
- Monitor food quality and address any issues that may arise
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with preparing meals during busy periods
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to create new dishes
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, etc.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a line cook or sous chef
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations

Salary: 1400$ per month
