Title: Preservation Architect - Contract
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings in the city of Fonvieille. Your duties will include conducting site surveys, preparing preservation plans, and overseeing the implementation of preservation projects. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with local preservation laws and regulations.
To excel in this role, you must have a degree in architecture with a focus on historic preservation. Previous experience working on preservation projects is preferred. You must also have excellent knowledge of historic building materials and construction techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site surveys to assess the condition of historic buildings
- Developing preservation plans and providing recommendations for restoration and repair
- Overseeing the implementation of preservation projects, including coordinating with contractors and obtaining necessary permits
- Ensuring compliance with local preservation laws and regulations
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture with a focus on historic preservation
- Previous experience working on preservation projects preferred
- Excellent knowledge of historic building materials and construction techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
This is a contract position with a salary of $1600 per month. As this role involves working on historical buildings, an understanding and appreciation of Fonvieille's cultural heritage is preferred.
