Preservation Architect
A well-established architectural firm in Eschen is seeking a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. This candidate will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring they meet modern safety and accessibility standards while maintaining their historical integrity. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Architecture and at least 3 years of experience in preservation work, preferably with a focus on historic buildings. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1400 per month, along with free visa and ticket for non-local candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history and architectural significance of buildings
- Assess the condition of historic structures and determine necessary repairs or restoration work
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local building codes and regulations
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and other professionals to carry out preservation projects
- Use specialized techniques and materials to preserve or restore original features of buildings
- Monitor progress of projects and ensure they are completed within budget and on schedule
- Maintain accurate documentation of all preservation work
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture, preferably with a focus on historic buildings
- Extensive knowledge of architectural history, styles, materials, and techniques
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to preservation work
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and colleagues
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation throughout projects
