Job Title: Junior Accountant - Medina, Kenya

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to join our team in Medina, Kenya. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with daily accounting tasks such as recording financial transactions, preparing balance sheets and income statements, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience. Fluency in English is preferred but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in accounting with a reputable company in Medina. Salary for this position is $1100 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily accounting tasks including recording financial transactions, preparing balance sheets and income statements, and maintaining financial records
- Prepare bank deposits and reconcile bank statements
- Process invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct monthly closing activities such as journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries or discrepancies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks)
- Fluency in English preferred but not required
