Chef De Cuisine
As a Chef De Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. You will work closely with the restaurant management team to create and update menus, maintain food quality standards, and manage kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
- Create new menu items while also maintaining existing ones
- Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff members, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop promotions or special menus
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef De Cuisine or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong understanding of food safety guidelines
- Ability to create new dishes while also maintaining consistency in existing menu items
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality
- Excellent communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1600 per month.
