Junior Database Administrator


We are hiring a Junior Database Administrator to join our dynamic team in Faro, Portugal. As a Junior DBA, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their security, availability, and performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an entry-level professional looking to kickstart their career in database administration.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Perform regular backups and maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Monitor database performance and optimize as needed
- Develop and implement security measures to protect data
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration between systems
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Familiarity with data backup and recovery processes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g. SQL, Java)
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Associate)

Salary: 1400$ per month.

Location:
This is a full-time position based in Faro, Portugal. Free visa sponsorship and one-way ticket will be provided for international candidates.
