Database Administrator (Faro, Portugal)

We are in search of a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases. Your duties will include ensuring data security, creating backups and disaster recovery plans, and optimizing database performance. You should have experience with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL. The ideal candidate should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills to collaborate with other team members.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage company databases.
- Ensure data security and implement backup plans.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop database solutions.
- Create disaster recovery plans in case of system failures.
- Monitor database activity and make necessary updates or improvements.
- Provide technical support for database users.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
- Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
- Knowledge of data security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This position is based in Faro, Portugal. Applicants must have the ability to legally work in Portugal without sponsorship.

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours from Monday to Friday.
