Preservation Architect
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Preservation Architect to join our team in Almada. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while ensuring they meet safety and building codes. Your main duties will include conducting site surveys, developing preservation plans, and overseeing construction projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in preservation architecture
- Strong knowledge of historic preservation standards and techniques
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys to assess the condition of historic buildings
- Develop preservation plans that balance the need for restoration with maintaining the building's historical integrity
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure preservation plans are feasible and meet safety standards
- Oversee construction projects to ensure they align with preservation plans
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for preserving their historic structures
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month, along with accommodation assistance for non-local candidates. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week. We also provide opportunities for professional development and growth within our company.
