Chef de Cuisine
As a Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our high-end restaurant in Faro. Your main goal will be to provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience by creating unique and delicious dishes, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining high-quality standards. Your creativity, leadership skills, and passion for food will be key in ensuring the success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Create new and innovative menus that reflect current food trends and showcase local ingredients
- Plan and execute daily operations of the kitchen, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment
- Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes
- Oversee food preparation to meet health and safety standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
- Monitor food costs, manage budgets, and make adjustments as needed to maintain profitability
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creativity in menu planning and recipe development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Fluent in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)
Salary: $1600 per month
