Long Haul Truck Driver

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, typically between cities or even countries. You will drive a large commercial truck, following safe driving practices and adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Your main duty will be to deliver goods to their designated locations in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires physical stamina, as you may be required to load and unload cargo, as well as the ability to work long hours and travel for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive a commercial truck in a safe manner
- Transport goods and materials between cities or countries
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the truck, identifying any potential issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
- Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, expenses, mileage, etc.
- Ensure the safety of the cargo during transport
- Report any incidents or accidents immediately

Requirements:
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL)
- At least 2 years of experience as a long haul truck driver
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to pass routine drug tests
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Basic math skills for calculating mileage, fuel consumption, etc.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to work long hours and travel for extended periods of time

Salary: $1100 per week (plus bonuses for timely deliveries)

Location: Atlanta, United States

Preference will be given to Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Accommodation can be provided if needed. Having a biometric passport is preferred but not mandatory. This position is also open to students who meet the requirements.
