Metal Fabricator - Akron, Ohio

Our metal fabrication company in Akron is seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for creating and repairing metal structures and products using various welding techniques. This is a contract position with potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams to determine project specifications
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, protractors, or other measuring devices
- Operate welding equipment to cut, shape, and join metal pieces together
- Use hand tools such as grinders, drills, and saws to shape and smooth metal surfaces
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality
- Repair damaged or defective metal parts using welding techniques

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in metal fabrication or welding
- Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick)
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions
- Familiarity with hand tools and machinery used in metal fabrication
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects
- Must have own visa/authorization to work in the US

Salary: $1800/month
