Part-time Interpreter


We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to join our team on a part-time basis in Oslo, Norway. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient interpretation services between two or more languages. You must have previous experience in interpreting and possess excellent language proficiency in both the source and target languages. Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services in various settings such as meetings, conferences, and appointments
- Accurately convey spoken messages from one language to another without altering the meaning or tone
- Listen carefully and interpret accurately while maintaining confidentiality
- Be knowledgeable about cultural differences and adapt your interpretation accordingly
- Utilize specialized vocabulary when interpreting for technical or industry-specific topics
- Take notes during the interpretation process if necessary to ensure accuracy and completeness of information

Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Interpreter or similar role is required
- Excellent language proficiency in both source and target languages (preferably English and Norwegian)
- Proven ability to interpret accurately and efficiently in different settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen carefully, speak clearly, and articulate complex ideas in both languages
- Familiarity with cultural differences and sensitivity towards diverse backgrounds
- Biometric passport required for international travel if needed

Salary:
The salary for this part-time position is $1100 per month.
