Librarian for Children's Section

We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Librarian to join our team in Beer-Sheva. As a Librarian for our Children's Section, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the section, promoting literacy and providing excellent customer service to our young readers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curate and maintain a diverse collection of children's books, magazines, and other materials
- Create engaging displays and activities to promote reading and learning
- Develop and implement programs such as storytimes, book clubs, and author visits
- Assist patrons in finding materials, making recommendations, and providing information literacy instruction
- Manage circulation desk duties including checking out materials, processing returns, and collecting fines/fees
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan library-wide events and initiatives
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in children's literature and actively seek out new materials to add to the collection
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting preferred
- Passion for working with children and promoting literacy
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patrons of all ages
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of library systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification preferred
