Librarian

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library collection and providing information services to patrons. Your duties will include organizing and cataloging materials, assisting with research inquiries, and facilitating library programs and events. You will also be responsible for maintaining the library's budget and developing partnerships with other organizations in the community. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a passion for literature and education.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library collection by cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Provide information services to patrons by assisting with research inquiries and recommending resources
- Plan and facilitate library programs and events, such as book clubs or storytime sessions
- Oversee the library's budget and make purchasing decisions based on the needs of the community
- Develop partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and businesses to promote the library's resources
- Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and trends in literature to enhance library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Passion for literature, education, and promoting reading culture within the community

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week. The schedule may include evenings and weekends depending on library events. The salary is $1000 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Beer-Sheva, Israel.
