Librarian (Malayalee/Egyptian) in Beer-Sheva, Israel

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team at a library in Beer-Sheva, Israel. The ideal candidate should be fluent in English and have experience working in a library setting. This is a contract position, with the potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities:
- Manage library circulation desk and assist patrons with check-out/check-in process
- Organize and maintain library collections according to Dewey Decimal system
- Catalog new materials using online database systems
- Assist with collection development and maintenance, including weeding and ordering new materials
- Provide reference services to patrons, including research assistance and reader's advisory
- Develop and implement library programs and events for all ages
- Train and supervise volunteers or student workers as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Fluency in English is required, fluency in Malayalam or Arabic is a plus
- Prior experience working in a library setting preferred
- Knowledge of Dewey Decimal system and online cataloging systems (such as OCLC) required
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
