Job Title: Instrument Technician
Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Porto. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of instrumentation systems and equipment. This includes troubleshooting, inspecting, and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field, as well as experience working with various types of instruments such as gauges, meters, and transmitters.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and calibrate instrumentation systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctions using various testing methods.
- Replace or repair faulty components as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop new instrumentation designs.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician or similar role.
- Proficient in using various testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits and principles.
- Knowledge of PLC programming is a plus.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
