Executive Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Akron. As an Indian restaurant, we are looking for a chef who is familiar with traditional Indian cuisine and can create authentic dishes using fresh ingredients. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Create menus and develop new dishes that showcase the flavors and techniques of Indian cuisine
- Manage food inventory and maintain high standards of quality and freshness
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to plan special events and catering services
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in an Indian restaurant setting
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining authenticity
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Accommodation: Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the temporary position.
