Livestock Specialist

As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert knowledge and support in the management and care of livestock, specifically in the city of Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with farmers and livestock owners to ensure the health, welfare, and productivity of their animals. This is a contract position that offers a salary of $1300 per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular visits to farms and livestock facilities to assess animal health and provide recommendations for improvement
- Train farmers on best practices for animal husbandry, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Monitor and maintain records of herd health, production levels, and any necessary treatments or vaccinations
- Collaborate with veterinarians and other specialists to address any health issues or concerns
- Stay current on industry developments and advancements in livestock management techniques
- Provide guidance on breeding programs to optimize herd genetics
- Assist with the selection and purchase of new livestock for farms as needed

Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required for effective communication with international clients
- Previous experience working with livestock is preferred but not required
- Must have a valid visa for working in Abu Dhabi or be eligible for visa sponsorship through our company
- Strong knowledge of animal biology, nutrition, and behavior
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Willingness to travel within Abu Dhabi for farm visits
