PHP Developer


We are a growing tech company based in the beautiful Faroe Islands seeking a talented and experienced PHP Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web applications using PHP and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, database design, and web development best practices. This is a contract position with the potential for full-time employment, and we offer competitive salary of $1600 per month. Accommodation can also be provided for non-local candidates if needed. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and related technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot issues and perform bug fixes
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a PHP Developer
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery
- Familiarity with MVC frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter) is a plus
- Experience with version control systems (Git) is preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
