Instrument Technician for Oil and Gas Industry in Muscat, Oman
We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Muscat, Oman. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instrumentation used in the oil and gas industry. This role requires strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with a variety of instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, level sensors, and control valves.
Responsibilities:
- Install new instruments and control systems according to technical specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on instrumentation to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment using diagnostic tools
- Calibrate instruments to ensure accurate readings and compliance with industry standards
- Develop and maintain records of all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify areas for improvement
- Follow all safety protocols while working on equipment
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Instrumentation or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry
- Strong understanding of instrument calibration techniques
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with various types of sensors, transmitters, and control devices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Physically fit to work in outdoor settings
Salary: 1600$ per month
Location: This position is based in Muscat, Oman.
