Pastry Chef
We are a well-established bakery in Los Angeles, seeking an experienced Pastry Chef from either Pakistan or Kenya. As a member of our team, the Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating and producing a variety of delicious pastries, cakes and desserts for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and creativity to develop unique and innovative recipes. This position is open to candidates without experience who are eager to learn and grow in the field of pastry making.
Responsibilities:
- Create and produce a variety of pastries, cakes and desserts according to recipes and customer requests
- Ensure high quality standards for all products
- Oversee inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in pastry making techniques
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized work space at all times
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Must be from either Pakistan or Kenya
- Must have a passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes
- Previous experience working as a Pastry Chef is preferred but not required
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively train and supervise kitchen staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards for quality
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
