Civil Engineer - Structural Design Specialist



As a Civil Engineer - Structural Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various structures such as buildings, bridges, roads, and tunnels. You will be based in Almada and will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site investigations to gather information for project planning
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Analyze structural systems and perform calculations to ensure stability and strength
- Select appropriate materials for construction based on project requirements
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to develop cost-effective solutions that meet client needs
- Oversee construction progress and provide technical guidance to workers on site
- Conduct quality control checks on materials used in construction
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural design
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methods
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and building codes
- Familiarity with project management software is a plus

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.
