Junior Preservation Architect



We are currently seeking a Junior Preservation Architect to join our team in Odense, Denmark. As a Junior Preservation Architect, you will work under the supervision of senior architects to assist in the preservation and restoration of historic buildings and structures. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural design principles and techniques, as well as knowledge of historic preservation standards and guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a degree in architecture or a related field, and a passion for preserving and protecting cultural heritage. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $1000 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist senior architects in conducting site surveys and assessing the condition of historic buildings
- Use AutoCAD or other design software to create plans, elevations, and sections for restoration projects
- Research historical materials, construction techniques, and architectural styles to inform preservation decisions
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to develop preservation plans
- Prepare reports, drawings, and presentations for clients or government agencies
- Monitor construction progress on preservation projects to ensure compliance with design plans
- Stay up-to-date on current preservation practices and regulations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and techniques
- Knowledge of historic preservation standards and guidelines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze historical documents and materials
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting to clients or government agencies

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on restoration or preservation projects
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations pertaining to historic structures
- Fluency in Danish (or willingness to learn)

Salary: Starting at $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
