Turner for a Manufacturing Company in Mombasa


We are in need of a skilled Turner to join our team at our manufacturing company in Mombasa. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathes and other machinery to shape metal pieces according to specifications. This is a physically demanding role that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machinery as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other specifications
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished product
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards
- Inspect finished pieces for defects and make any necessary repairs or adjustments
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in machining preferred
- At least 2 years of experience operating lathes or similar machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical drawings
- Experience working with various metals including steel, aluminum, and brass
- Physical stamina and strength to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail with the ability to work with precision
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Basic math skills

Salary: $1500 per month

This position is open to candidates of all nationalities who are fluent in English. We welcome applications from Pakistani or Egyptian candidates who meet the requirements.
