Power Engineer
A power engineer is responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining the power systems that provide electricity to buildings, facilities, and other structures. The job requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems for buildings, facilities, and other structures
- Conducting tests on power systems to ensure they are functioning properly
- Troubleshooting and repairing any issues with power systems
- Performing regular maintenance on power equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Staying up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance
- Collaborating with other engineers and technicians on projects
- Providing guidance and support to junior engineers on the team
- Creating detailed reports on project progress and system performance
- Communicating with clients or stakeholders regarding project updates or issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
- Experience working with power distribution systems
- Proficient in using CAD software for designing electrical systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- Excellent communication skills
Salary: $1200 per month
Location: Nakuru, Kenya
