Junior Information Security Analyst - Almada, Portugal



We are hiring a Junior Information Security Analyst to join our growing team in Almada, Portugal. As a member of our Information Security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's information assets.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems
- Implement and maintain security controls and procedures to protect against cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and implement security solutions
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, tools, and techniques
- Assist with incident response activities as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
- Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Qualys
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically and problem solve
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
