Network and Systems Administrator


A rapidly expanding company in Almada is seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the organization's network and systems infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups and updates to ensure optimal system performance
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email accounts, and security policies
- Support end-users with technical issues related to network connectivity or system usage
- Implement security measures to protect company data from potential threats
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement new systems or upgrades

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues quickly and efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $1200 per month
