Land Surveyor
A land surveyor is responsible for measuring and mapping land to determine boundaries, property lines, and other important features. They use specialized equipment such as total stations, GPS systems, and drones to collect data and create accurate surveys. The job may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions and may require physical stamina.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys to gather data on land features and boundaries
- Use specialized equipment to measure distances, angles, and elevations
- Create detailed maps and reports based on collected data
- Communicate with clients to understand their survey needs
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams on projects
- Ensure accuracy of survey results by checking for errors or discrepancies
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field (preferred)
- Previous experience in land surveying (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with surveying equipment (total stations, GPS systems)
- Ability to interpret maps, plans, and legal documents related to surveys
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
