Part-Time Database Administrator in Porto


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Porto on a part-time basis. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases, ensuring their security and integrity, and providing support to users.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related products
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Backup and restore databases to ensure data integrity
- Implement security measures to protect the database from unauthorized access
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary
- Provide technical support to users for database-related issues
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure smooth integration of databases with other systems
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database administration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
- Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling techniques
- Experience with performance tuning techniques to optimize database performance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills

Salary: 1600$ per month (based on experience)
