A reputable company in Porto is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases, ensuring their security, efficiency, and stability. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for data management.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and ensure data integrity
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades
- Collaborate with other teams to design and implement new databases or changes to existing ones
- Maintain database security by implementing access controls and monitoring user activity
- Generate reports on database health, usage, and growth for management's review
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL queries
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Certifications in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Associate)
- Experience with cloud-based database platforms (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Fluency in Portuguese
