Executive Chef

We are in search of a highly skilled and creative Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team in Hawalli. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. Our ideal candidate is a passionate and experienced chef with a strong background in African cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an innovative and authentic menu that reflects our African heritage
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking techniques, portion control, and presentation
- Ensure that all food items are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following sanitation standards and procedures
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and menu pricing strategies
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu offerings

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of African cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff
- Proficient in menu planning, cost control, inventory management, and food safety regulations
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique dishes while staying true to traditional flavors
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with staff members, management, and customers

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This job is based in Hawalli but we welcome candidates from all nationalities who are fluent in English.
