Sous Chef - Bansko, Bulgaria
We are in search of a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at a luxury hotel in Bansko, Bulgaria. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Proficiency in Pakistani or Kenyan cuisine preferred
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new menus and dishes that reflect our cultural influences
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on cooking methods, portion control, and presentation techniques
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the kitchen
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and ensure proper handling of food at all times
