Preservation Architect
We are currently hiring a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Washington. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, while also ensuring that they meet modern safety and building standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the historical significance and architectural styles of buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans and strategies for the restoration of historical buildings
- Work with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that restoration work is done in accordance with preservation standards
- Inspect and assess the condition of historical buildings to determine necessary repairs and maintenance
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for restoration projects
- Oversee construction work to ensure that it is being carried out in line with preservation plans and standards
- Collaborate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits for restoration projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preservation architecture or a similar role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software
- Strong knowledge of historical preservation principles, methods, materials, and techniques
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1700$ per month.
