Head Pastry Chef



We are in search of a highly skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our team at our prestigious bakery in Roskilde. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pastry production, including menu development, ordering ingredients, and managing a team of pastry cooks. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working in a high-end bakery or restaurant, with a strong background in pastry techniques and flavors. A passion for creating visually stunning and delicious desserts is a must. Salary for this position starts at 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus for all pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Order ingredients and supplies as needed to maintain inventory
- Train and manage a team of pastry cooks to ensure quality standards are met
- Oversee production of all pastries and desserts, ensuring they are made to perfection
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create new dessert offerings for special events or holidays
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into new menu items
- Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end bakery or restaurant setting
- Proven track record of creating visually appealing and delicious pastries/desserts
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, flavor combinations, and plating presentations
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and ideas
- Fluent in English (Danish language skills preferred but not required)
- Must have proper work permits to work in Denmark
