Preservation Architect
We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Roskilde, Denmark. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. Your role will involve conducting research, creating preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on historical buildings and structures to understand their architectural style, materials used, and construction techniques.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to develop preservation plans that meet safety requirements and maintain the integrity of the building.
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for restoration projects.
- Oversee restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring that work is carried out according to the preservation plan and within budget.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure that work meets preservation standards.
- Identify potential risks or issues during restoration projects and provide solutions to mitigate them.
- Maintain accurate records of project details, costs, and any changes made.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, advancements in preservation techniques, and relevant regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect.
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials, and construction techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards for preserving historical buildings.
- Proficient in AutoCAD or other architectural software programs.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish language proficiency is a plus).
- Willingness to travel for site visits as required.
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1800$ per month. We also offer accommodation for our employees. Additionally, we require candidates to have a biometric passport for ease of travel.
Location:
This position is based in Roskilde, Denmark. However, we welcome applicants from other nationalities who are eligible to work in Denmark.
