We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Bergen, Norway. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of our company's databases. Your main duties will include installing and configuring database systems, monitoring database activity and performance, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and ensuring data backups are regularly performed.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator
- Proficient in SQL and database management systems such as Oracle or MySQL
- Knowledge of database security protocols and disaster recovery procedures
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software according to company standards
- Monitor database activity and performance to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
- Troubleshoot any problems that may arise with the database system
- Perform regular backups to ensure data is not lost in case of a system failure
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing databases
- Implement security protocols to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access
- Develop stored procedures, triggers, views, and other database objects as needed by the development team

We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month along with free accommodation and visa sponsorship. This is a contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance.
