Part-Time Librarian

We are seeking a part-time librarian to join our team at our library in Al-Malikiyah, Syria. As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing the organization and circulation of library materials, as well as assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for books and knowledge to gain valuable experience in the field of library science.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, and other resources
- Create and implement systems for cataloging and classifying materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Provide guidance on how to use library resources effectively
- Develop and conduct educational programs and workshops
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan events and programs

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed

Salary:
This is a part-time position with a salary of 1200$ per month.

Location:
The position is located at our library in Al-Malikiyah, Syria. Accommodation may be provided for candidates who require it.

Visa Requirements:
Candidates must have their own valid visa to work in Syria.
