Librarian (Indian Nationals)


We are seeking a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our library team in Shan, India. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, providing reference services, and promoting information literacy to our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection including selection, acquisition, cataloging, and processing of materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide reference services
- Promote information literacy through library instruction and workshops
- Maintain the library's physical space and ensure a welcoming and organized environment for patrons
- Train and supervise library staff and volunteers
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient library operations
- Collaborate with faculty to support curriculum needs and integrate information literacy into courses

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of library systems, cataloging standards, and information resources
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Salary: 1500$ per month

This is a full-time position without accommodation provided. Indian nationals are preferred for this role. Fluency in English is required.
