Industrial Architect

The Industrial Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of industrial buildings and facilities. They will work closely with clients to understand their needs and create functional, efficient, and safe spaces for manufacturing, storage, and other industrial purposes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes, materials, and construction methods specific to industrial projects. They should also have excellent communication and project management skills to effectively collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders. This is a full-time position in La-Condamine with a salary of $1600 per month and accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand their requirements for industrial buildings or facilities
- Develop design concepts and present them to clients for approval
- Create detailed plans and specifications using specialized software
- Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure structural integrity of the designs
- Communicate design plans to contractors during the construction phase
- Oversee construction progress to ensure adherence to plans and specifications
- Make necessary adjustments or modifications as needed during the construction process
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in industrial architecture or related field
- Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods specific to industrial projects
- Proficiency in specialized software such as AutoCAD or Revit for creating detailed plans and specifications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to problem solve on site
- Fluent in English (French is a plus)
