Executive Chef
We are seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef to join our team in Utena, Canada. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new menu items that align with our restaurant's concept and appeal to our target audience
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure consistent execution of recipes and efficient operations
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients at reasonable prices
- Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and waste management to maintain profitability
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by adhering to food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
