Instrument Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Svalbard. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of various types of instruments used in industrial settings. This includes but is not limited to pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors and control systems.

Responsibilities:
- Install new instruments and maintain existing ones according to technical specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty instruments to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on instruments
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities
- Work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure smooth operation of equipment
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with a variety of measurement equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Knowledge of different types of control systems (PLC, DCS)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Valid work visa for Svalbard (sponsorship available)
- Able to work without accommodation on site or commute from nearby areas

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)
