We are looking for a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing various machine learning algorithms and techniques to solve complex problems and improve our products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and deploying machine learning models and algorithms.
- Identifying and selecting appropriate data sets for training and testing.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and trends.
- Evaluating the performance of machine learning models and making improvements as needed.
- Developing tools and frameworks for data preparation, feature engineering, model development, and deployment.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning technologies.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development practices.

Salary:
The salary for this position is competitive at 1000$ per month. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Location:
This is a contract job located in Funchal, Portugal. While preference will be given to candidates who are currently in Funchal or willing to relocate, remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates.
