Construction Manager
As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects in Almada. Your main duty will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of contractors, architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee construction activities to meet project deadlines
- Monitor progress and ensure that work is being carried out according to specifications
- Review project plans and blueprints to identify any potential issues or risks
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure smooth execution of the project
- Manage budget and resources effectively to keep costs within allocated budget
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders including clients, government officials, and project team members
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process
- Provide regular progress reports to upper management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes in Almada
- Proficiency in project management software
- Fluency in Portuguese (fluency in English is a plus)
Salary: 1200$ per month
Location: Almada
