Preservation Architect for Historic Buildings in Los Angeles


We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Los Angeles. As our Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving the unique architectural heritage of historic buildings in the city. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other professionals to develop and implement plans for the restoration and conservation of historic structures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine their condition and identify necessary repairs or preservation measures
- Develop detailed preservation plans that comply with local regulations and best practices in historic preservation
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that preservation projects are carried out effectively and efficiently
- Monitor ongoing preservation projects to ensure that work is being done according to plans and specifications
- Prepare reports, drawings, and other documentation related to preservation projects
- Stay updated on current developments and trends in the field of historic preservation

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Preservation Architect for historic buildings
- Extensive knowledge of local regulations and best practices related to historic preservation
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong eye for design and aesthetics

Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Los Angeles (preference for candidates already located in the city or willing to relocate)
