Executive Chef

We are in search of a highly skilled and creative Executive Chef to join our team at our renowned restaurant in Aarhus, Denmark. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu creation to food preparation and presentation. You will also be responsible for managing and training kitchen staff, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

To excel in this role, you must have a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes using fresh ingredients. You should also possess excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment is required.

Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to develop new concepts or events to attract customers

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices
- Creativity in menu creation and presentation of dishes
- Strong understanding of food cost control measures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish is a plus)
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
